Site Agent – Civil Engineering (Scotland) About the Role A great opportunity has opened for an experienced Site Agent to take a leading role in the delivery of infrastructure projects across Scotland. Working closely with Project and Contract Managers, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires flexibility to travel throughout Scotland, including occasional overnight stays based on project needs. In return, you'll contribute to impactful infrastructure schemes and take on a key leadership role within a dynamic project delivery team. Main Responsibilities Take full responsibility for site operations from initial mobilisation through to project completion. Ensure all works are executed in line with company and statutory HSEQ standards. Develop and manage project-specific health, safety, and environmental documentation, including RAMS and construction phase plans. Interpret and implement engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks. Manage procurement processes and oversee the performance of suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor programme progress, site costs, and overall delivery performance. Provide daily leadership and support to site engineers and operational staff. Work closely with Works Managers and site supervisors to ensure efficient and safe site operations. Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, resolving technical or contractual issues as they arise. Support the development of junior team members through mentoring and on-site guidance. Ensure all close-out and handover documentation is delivered in a timely and complete manner. What We're Looking For A degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent industry experience). Previous experience in a Site Agent or similar leadership role on civil infrastructure or earthworks projects. Knowledge of NEC or FIDIC Design & Build contract forms. In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and subcontractor outputs. Full, clean UK driving licence
