Site Manager
A well established and respected regional main contractor are looking for their next Site Manager to join their team due to a strong order book for 2025, They have a strong reputation for delivering projects across commercial, refurbishment and education and cladding sectors.
About the role of Site Manager
As the Site Manager you will be reporting to the Project Manager and be responsible for all day-to-day site activities for a newly awarded commercial project, ensuring the smooth delivery of the build in line with the project programme, budget and quality. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor.
Responsibilities for Site Manager
* Oversee and manage day to day operation to ensure the project is delivered safely and on time
* Update project programme and issue weekly to the PM / CM
* Formulate and track short term target programmes
* Chair weekly subcontractor progress and H&S meetings
* Plan, coordinate, look ahead and manage all aspects of the construction process
* Strive for handover of the project with zero defects and snagging
* Comprehensive understanding of the main contract
Requirements for Site Manager
* Proven experience as a Site Manager successfully delivering project on time
* Experience with D&B contracts
* Strong knowledge of construction processes and H&S
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors
* SMSTS, CSCS, 1st aid
* Asbestos Awareness and Working at Heights
