It is also host to a number of Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects in the energy sector, including the delivery of the Sizewell C new nuclear build project, multiple offshore wind projects, multipurpose interconnectors, and grid reinforcement projects. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Energy Projects Team as Programme Manager. The role: Reporting to the Head of Energy and Coastal Management, you will lead the Council’s programme management of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in the energy sector, and, in particular, the Council’s responsibilities associated with the delivery of the Sizewell C new nuclear project. You will work directly with the Head of Service, and also support other senior colleagues in the Council by providing co-ordination, oversight, and the reporting of key deliverables of these projects. You will manage, develop, and implement all the requirements of the workstreams on these projects, both in the Energy team, and also across other Council service areas that are closely involved in Sizewell C and other energy projects. As the appointed person in the Council, you will have oversight of all the relevant data and documentation on each energy project to help the Head of Service to drive the projects forward to achieve the agreed outcome for the Council. What you will need: You will bring a wealth of experience in Programme and Project Management, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and deliver high-profile outcomes on time and within budget. Excellent problem-solving skills, a strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships, and a passion for energy infrastructure will be essential in this role.
