Maldon & Tiptree FC is a bit different to other football clubs. From Feb 2025, we are under new ownership and will always try to put our fans first. The Drewitt-Barlow organisation will be the new custodians of this very special club, aiming to be a true community club.

About the Club
Maldon & Tiptree Football Club is based in Maldon, Essex, England. We are currently members of the Isthmian League North Division and play at the Drewitt-Barlow Stadium, which has a capacity of 2,800 with 155 seated. We believe in a diverse workforce that helps us develop ideas, solve problems, and grow.

The Role of the Head Grounds Person
We require a world-class Grounds Person to help us build up our pitch maintenance resources. This is a vital role at Maldon & Tiptree FC – we aim to have the best stadium pitch in our League and are committed to investing in this area.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering an outstanding playing surface and experience managing a small in-house team of ground staff. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build a team are essential.
Main Accountabilities
1. Maintain the Drewitt-Barlow Stadium pitch for multi-use and create seasonal displays.
2. Report to the Club Secretary and undertake general maintenance operations.
3. Manage a budget for repairs and ensure the grounds look immaculate.
4. Divot and repair the stadium pitch after matches and training sessions.
5. Undertake routine maintenance operations, including:
1. Use of tractors and various implements
2. Use of pedestrian/hand-held machinery
3. Setting up, preparing, and maintaining the pitch to a high standard
4. Applying various fertilizers
5. Irrigation management
6. Overall care of the grounds
6. Manage machinery maintenance and repairs.
7. Communicate with management during weekly site meetings.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
9. Care for two further pitches used by the youth and first teams.

Expectation to attend at least 95% of all football home matches.

Pay: £37,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
