Overview:
An opportunity has arisen within our Finance Team to become an apprentice. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase transactions, ensuring timely payment of invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the first responder for job scheduling and coordination using Simpro, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate client/project tracking.
* Manage and maintain client and project records in Simpro, supporting job lifecycle management and operational visibility.
* Process purchase invoices, credit notes, and expenses using Xero as a superuser, maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency.
* Support finance with invoice approval, payment tracking, and contract management, using Simpro for workflow and Xero for processing.
* Reconcile supplier statements and maintain up-to-date purchase records using our internal Data Feeding Programme (bridging software).
* Handle all supplier communications regarding invoice discrepancies and payment queries through our telephone system.
* Serve as the superuser for Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint) for communication, reporting, documentation, and minute-taking.
* Manage incoming and outgoing calls professionally, liaising with tenants and suppliers through our direct line and telephone system.

Salary:
£15,704 per annum.
Working week:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. 40 hours a week

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience as well as gaining an SCQF Level 6 apprenticeship with QA.
Future prospects:
90% of QA apprentices secure permanent employment after completing their apprenticeship; this is 20% higher than the national average.
