EME Power Systems are currently seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer, to progress to a full Electrical Engineer, to join our established engineering team. This role would suit a current low voltage Electrician / Project Manager wishing to further their career.
Duties / responsibilities, including but not limited to:
* Generate / Receive enquiries for HV electrical installations and maintenance projects and ensure they are successfully commercially delivered.
* Evaluate enquiries technically and commercially in order to offer the correct service.
* Liaise with other colleagues.
* Check and respond to commercial terms from potential customers.
* Provide quotations, costing and delivery information as required to secure potential orders.
* Project delivery, including compilation of job packs, supervision and allocation of labour, invoicing and project completion paperwork.
* Building and maintaining databases.
* Directing business development.
* Incident management.
* Reporting to company management as required to include project progress reporting.
* Assist in ensuring compliance issues are met.
Development (to include complementing above), including but not limited to:
* Developing further understanding of electrical designs (LV cable calcs, HV protection including calculations, Windebut, earthing, civils etc).
* Developing further existing job planning, ordering of materials and working party supervision where capable of picking a project up from cradle and running to completion including compiling all associated paperwork (RAMs, test sheets, safety documentation, completion folders etc).
* Progression to NRSWA accredited Supervisor.
* Progression to Senior Authorised Person.
Qualifications:
* HNC Engineering based qualification or above would be advantageous.
* Previous experience in electrical design would be advantageous.
* Enthusiastic and highly motivated.
* Required to be organised and willing to work unaided and as a team player.
* Ability to communicate at all levels and balance workload, whilst maintaining tight deadlines.

* Understanding of the requirements of safety from electrical systems including safety docs.
* Understanding of site safety and PPE.
* Understanding of HV and LV electrical designs.
* Possess good communication / customer relation skills.
