Your new company A forward-thinking organisation on the outskirts of Bath are looking to appoint a Part-Time Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an employer of choice offering 21 hours per week over 3-5 days. Your new role Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant role will include: Processing supplier invoices, including coding, checking calculations, reviewing VAT apportionment and reconciling to supplier statements. Maintaining accurate records of spend on capital projects to ensure sufficient funds to process costs Checking, coding and processing staff expense claims and credit card statements Processing receipts - ensuring they are accurately allocated to the correct account Producing monthly bank reconciliations Producing, checking and sending out statements Ad-hoc office support tasks What you'll need to succeed You are experienced working within a finance team environment or similar role. You will have a robust knowledge and practical experience of all aspects of bookkeeping including processing supplier invoices, raising sales invoices and processing receipts and payments and reconciling bank accounts. You are experienced in using different accounting software and have good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook You are part-qualified AAT or qualified by experience You are precise and accurate in your work, with good self-checking, and manage your own workloads with ease. You are tactful and totally discreet; organised and systematic; able to build positive working relationships at all levels and across a geographically disparate organisation; able to deal professionally with staff and contractors; open to discussion, change and development; easy-going yet professional, self-directed and productive.
