Role : Lecturer - Engineering
Hours – 35 per week – Permanent, Full-Time
Salary : £32,379 - £46,014
Location - Stockport (although requirements across the Group may require cover at other sites)
The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Engineering team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.
The engineering department at Trafford & Stockport College Group deliver a wide variety of knowledge and skills to full time learners, adults and apprentices. We have excellent facilities to delivering Engineering from level 2 to level 5.You will be joining an established team who foster the success of their learners and colleagues.
The Role:
You will be joining a strong engineering team at Trafford & Stockport College Group. The role will be to deliver level 2 PEO, Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering course as well as the Engineering T Level course. Strong candidates will have substantial experience in mechanical engineering and bring with them industrial experience. Our engineering team deliver to a wide range of learners including full time 16-19 as well as apprentices and HE. You will have the opportunity to have your specialism shine, as well as to be able to input in curriculum delivery, making sure your industrial experience is put to excellent use.
About you:
If you are passionate about your specialist subject and sharing your knowledge, skills and experience and have an enthusiasm for supporting apprentices then there has never been a better time to join Trafford & Stockport College Group.
Desirable: Experience of industrial experience of working within the field (In a vocational area) & leadership skills including an imaginative approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
You will have experience working in mechanical engineering, and be passionate about the skills you have developed through your career. Your industry experience will work alongside the team and compliment the delivery within the engineering department. It is desirable to have some experience of delivering level 3 engineering in a post 16 setting.
This would be an ideal position for either an established teacher, or an Engineer who is looking to move out of industry and pass on their skills to the next generation of Engineers.
