Westwood Recruitment are seeking an experienced EC&I Project Engineer to join our clients dynamic team supporting high-profile industrial projects. The role is ideal for a skilled engineer with a strong background in electrical, control, and instrumentation systems within industrial or process manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the execution of assigned projects from inception to completion.
2. Define and implement fit-for-purpose engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
3. Develop and manage project budgets, estimates, schedules, and scopes of work.
4. Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to coordinate designs and ensure stakeholder requirements are met.
5. Oversee procurement, commissioning, and final documentation of equipment and materials.
6. Ensure project execution aligns with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) standards.
7. Support construction and commissioning phases, resolving technical queries.
8. Manage change control, risk assessment, and verification processes.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Degree / HND in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering (required).
2. Project Management qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Project Control), CompEx certifications, Functional Safety, or IET Wiring Regulations knowledge (preferred).
Experience & Knowledge:
1. Minimum five years of experience in a similar role.
2. Exposure to COMAH Tier 1 Process Manufacturing Environments.
3. Strong understanding of industrial engineering design, project lifecycles, functional safety, and ATEX directives.
4. Proficiency in risk management, budgeting, planning, and scheduling.
5. Hands-on experience in maintenance, shutdowns, OPEX & CAPEX projects.
6. Familiarity with major engineering disciplines (mechanical, structural, piping, civil, process, etc.).
7. Strong IT skills, including MS Office, drafting tools, and engineering databases.
