This role will oversee admin functions and supervise admin staff across a range of criminal justice services.
Liaison and Diversion (L&D) identifies individuals who have mental health, neurodiverse conditions, learning disabilities, substance misuse, or other vulnerabilities when they first come into contact with the criminal justice system. L&D works with the Police, the Probation Service, youth offending teams, defence lawyers, or court staff to identify those vulnerabilities to ensure that the right support can be put in place as soon as possible to reduce the likelihood that people will reach a crisis point.
Reconnect offers care after custody support that seeks to improve the continuity of care of individuals with identified health needs, including mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, physical health, neurodivergent needs, and other psychosocial vulnerabilities, leaving prison by supporting their transition to community-based health and support services through liaison, advocacy, signposting, and support.
Enhanced Reconnect (ER) in the southwest is dedicated to providing a psychology-led service by supporting individuals 6 months pre-release from prison and up to 12 months post-release. ER aims to support the reintegration of individuals back into community, family, social, education, and work situations via a trauma-informed, formulation-driven, and person-centred approach.
