Reliability Engineering Manager Edinburgh Permanent Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are supporting our FMCG client who are looking for a Reliability Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. The purpose of this role is to maintain continuous production by enhancing equipment reliability, supporting the implementation of engineering and reliability best practices, and developing reliability techniques and tools that align with our clients engineering improvement plans. This role also involves being an ambassador for the company values, driving excellence in every aspect. Key Responsibilities: Ensure Health and Safety is a top priority, adhering to safe working practices at all times. Coach and develop reliability technicians and planners to ensure continual improvement within the department. Set and measure objectives for direct reports to ensure development and KPI delivery. Ensure maintenance techniques are followed on production equipment by scheduling maintenance and inspections. Take ownership of the CMMS system, ensuring effective resource use to deliver 100% compliance with scheduled PPM. Support the delivery of the engineering budget and ensure proper root cause analysis to prevent the recurrence of downtime incidents. Assist in specifying and installing new equipment for the site. Contribute to and assist in implementing improvement plans agreed upon with the Engineering Manager. Experience required: Experience leading an engineering team, ideally within an FMCG environment, to improve overall site performance. Proficiency in using continuous improvement tools and techniques. Strong communication skills at all levels. Good working knowledge of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques. Excellent knowledge of planning and scheduling processes. Competency in using a CMMS.
