Programme Manager role:
• Lead a program of work, overseeing design, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, to specification, within budget and schedule, and with high customer satisfaction, reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager.
Programme Manager responsibilities:
• Oversee project performance, including contract staffing, design-to-delivery handover, and overall contract strategy development.
• Support Construction and Delivery Leads with contract-related advice and problem-solving and be responsible for staff training and development.
• Manage client relationships, address and resolve any issues, and identify opportunities for future growth.
• Collaborate with the Design Manager to ensure a thorough Technical, Safety, and Environmental review is conducted for each project to ensure successful delivery.
• Ensure adequately trained personnel are assigned to the project and understand their responsibilities.
• Ensure that Construction and Delivery Leads/Site Managers thoroughly review and approve all Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Construction Delivery Plans to comply with Health & Safety requirements.
• Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates.
• Undertake any other duties, training, or working hours as reasonably required, in line with the overall responsibilities of the role.
Programme Manager requirements:
Essential:
• Extensive project management experience, particularly in large-scale infrastructure project delivery.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related field.
• APMP certification or equivalent.
• Possesses strategic, operational, technical, and managerial skills.
Desirable:
• Experience in using Primavera or Power project.
• Chartered or near chartered in a construction discipline.
• Working knowledge of construction Health & Safety.
