Construction Instructor/Technician
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and well-organised Construction Instructor/Technician to join our thriving team at the Construction Skills Centre, Witney Campus. As our department continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated individual passionate about working in the education sector and supporting students in developing practical construction skills.
Salary: £26,121 - £26,750 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day
Contract: Permanent
Location: Witney Campus
We are looking for someone who is qualified to a minimum of level 2 in a recognised construction trade. A requirement is that you are willing to support across all the trade areas we offer, which include plumbing, electrical installation, and wood trades, for which training and support will be provided. To be successful in this role, it is important that you are a good communicator and enthusiastic about working in the education sector.
Some of the main duties will include supporting the teachers in the workshop, developing students' practical skills, supervising students, ordering materials, stock taking, and ensuring the workshops are kept to a high standard. It is essential that you are able to work within a team. The ideal candidate will be confident and must enjoy working with students of all ages, especially those aged 16-18.
