AMG is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the engineering department to work closely with our production teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Duties:
1. To plan, prioritise and implement projects from approval to commissioning, to specification, to time and to budget.
2. Produce and review product requirements documents.
3. Produce clear and accurate designs in line with the project specification, budget constraints and associated standards.
4. Investigate, cost and submit project proposals for management approval including proofing of concepts designs and supporting calculations.
5. Ensure project tracking and costing systems are maintained and accurately record all work activities & plant interventions using the CMMS.
6. Meaningfully contribute to and support continuous improvement methods and activities.
7. Coordinate contractor activity on site, ensuring authorisation to work systems and relevant work permits are enforced including compliance with method statements / risk assessment and value for money.
The Person:
1. A Proven Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years experience in project engineering.
2. Proven experience as a Project engineer with the ability to demonstrate high volume project delivery.
3. Experience in heavy/medium engineering in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of civil/structural, steelwork and fabrication.
4. Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic plant and systems.
5. An excellent appreciation of practical mechanical and electrical engineering; complimented with theoretical approaches.
6. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and drafting of layouts.
7. Ability to produce designs and calculations for civil/structural, steelwork and fabricated systems.
8. IOSH qualified.
