TH Recruit is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction consultancy service. The role offers full remote working with occasional meetings in Birmingham city centre and site visits as required. Our client works with a diverse range of clients across various sectors, including the Public Sector, Retail, Hospitality, Leisure, Commercial, Residential, and Healthcare. They work with renowned clients and have a significant presence in consulting for the Government pension fund. With a team of 40 and growing, they recently moved into new office premises in the centre of Birmingham.
Role Overview: Due to their impressive workload and contracts, our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience across a range of sectors for example, commercial, retail, hospitality, leisure, residential, healthcare, education, etc) and a strong quantity surveying background. Reporting to the Commercial Associate Director, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the delivery of multiple projects across various sectors, ensuring they are delivered to the required quality standards, on time, and within budget.
• Providing commercial support and advice to the project team, including quantity surveying and cost management.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Managing risk on projects and ensuring that all commercial aspects are accurately recorded and reported.
• Providing commercial leadership to the team, ensuring that they are delivering the highest quality service to our clients.
Requirements:
• A strong quantity surveying background with a good understanding of cost management and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify and manage risk on projects.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is desirable.
