With the continued expansion of our business, we are recruiting a highly capable Customer Support team member with the responsibility of providing technical assistance to our global customer network.
We develop ocean bottom systems for deployment at depths of more than 6km. Our sensors are used in earthquake early warning systems, monitoring volcanic activity, and oil and gas exploration on land and at sea. The business, which employs 80 people, is based in Aldermaston, Berkshire, UK.
The company is engaged in a wide variety of engineering disciplines ranging from intricate mechanical design challenges requiring micron level accuracy to large scale mechanical systems, electronics, and software.
Job Description/Responsibilities
To provide technical support to our international client base, distributors, users, and operators. A role that requires a broad-based technical understanding of our products, the underlying technology, and its application. To assist with technical sales and product training.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Supporting customers through remote diagnosis and deciding strategies on how to proceed with repairs/support.
2. Learning about company products and applications, to be able to communicate complex systems and theories to clients and users.
3. Liaising with the Engineering department to provide continuous feedback in order to improve product design and reliability.
4. Working through a list of prioritised support tickets to provide an efficient and professional service to end users.
5. Supporting field services, in a 'hands-on' role that may require international travel.
6. Providing the sales team with technical support on company products and applications.
Desired Skills and Experience
