Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (or a 3rd year Student Veterinary Nurse) to join their multi-branch team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who enjoys variety, complex caseloads, and wants to work across both hospital and branch settings.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week. The weekend rota is approximately 1 in 4 with time off in lieu. Flexibility or part-time options can be discussed.
Role Description
The successful candidate will work across all five branches, including a busy, well-equipped hospital and smaller branch settings that allow for nurse clinics and client rapport-building. Nurses are actively involved in a variety of complex procedures and can work within an advanced nursing niche. The team sees both first-opinion and referral-level cases across a range of disciplines including cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, orthopaedics and more.
Team Size
This practice operates with a large, multidisciplinary team including certificate holders in Cardiology, Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, and Orthopaedics. The nursing team is integral to the running of the practice and is involved in all levels of patient care.
Practice Details
The practice is based on the edge of Birmingham, offering access to both countryside and city life. The facilities include a CT scanner, referral-level ultrasound, dedicated dental x-ray, endoscopy suite with seven scopes, ICU incubators, piped oxygen, NHS-level lab, underfloor heated kennels and cattery, and a feline-friendly ISFM Silver accredited hospital.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic RVN or 3rd year SVN who enjoys working in a varied environment. They should be keen to work as part of a close-knit, social team and have a passion for clinical excellence and patient care.
The Package
Salary up to £28,300 (Annual)
* Salary between £27,500 and £28,300 depending on experience
