Principal Elements of the Post To join the existing team of consultants supporting inpatient and ambulatory emergency care services in acute and general medicine at Warwick Hospital Daily MAU and MSSU ward round cover Mon-Friday 08:00-12:00 and 08:00-11:00 Sat and Sunday every 11 weeks Daily post take ward round cover Mon-Friday 12:00-20:00 and 08:00-16:00 Sat and Sunday every 11 weeks Daily AEC cover Mon-Friday 12:00-20:00 Provide support and training for decision-makers working within the team Supervision of acute medicine trainees (FY 1, FY2, GPVTS, ACCS, Local Employed Doctors and registrar in acute medicine Participate in weekly departmental teaching Involvement in other areas of specialty education e.g. bedside ultrasound training, MRCP etc. Warwick Hospital works with 2 medical schools. The post-holder will participate in the delivery of teaching on the ward for the acute block of both universities. The acute block is a highly performing block where medical students in their last year of training rotate across acute medicine, emergency medicine, and simulated scenarios learning to manage acute emergencies. The post-holder will have the opportunity to be involved in supervision and examination OSCE and OSLERs if so desired.
