To lead the strategy and growth of the Pilgrim’s Europe brands and products and develop the sales team to deliver against business objectives. Convenience Channel and NI Field Team Manager will be responsible for leading the sales within the defined areas, to maximise revenue, volume, and contribution across all categories, building strong cross-functional relationships both internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities
* Leadership of a team with several direct reports. Setting the strategic direction of the team members and setting clear KPI measures.
* Establish and develop relationships with our customers at a senior level.
* Be the voice of our customers internally, championing their strategies and objectives to ensure plans are aligned by channel.
* Monitor customer performance and satisfaction levels, identify any issues which may threaten sales and take appropriate action.
* Ensure forecast accuracy and careful management of risks and opportunities to plan.
* Full responsibility for developing and agreeing annual business plans with the customer across the defined route to market.
* Manage the costs associated with the Field and Van teams ensuring we manage the cost budget to maximise return on investment.
* Own financial governance process & rhythm, collaborating with commercial finance.
* Manage and develop the team to ensure sales targets are met.
* Ensure common ways of working across the teams ensuring alignment with the ROI team.
* Lead out and execute growth strategies including Go to Market Strategies and PPA Revenue Planning.
* Work with Commercial Director and Category Directors to define customer specific category development plans and oversee their implementation in conjunction with the customer marketing, technical and development teams.
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong background in major retail account management. Typically, a minimum of 5 years working at National Account Manager Level is to be expected with a proven track record of success working.
* Good working knowledge of the van sales business.
* Brands & Product experience. Able to understand consumer preferences as well as retailer preferences.
* Highly analytical with excellent project management and presentation skills.
* The ability to lead and set direction while remaining very hands on.
* Previous success in coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.
* A result driven, tenacious character that can facilitate and direct; not fold under demands and can push though ideas. Tough and highly resilient.
