Job summary Bristol Clinical Teaching Fellow - General Medicine This post is for a Clinical Teaching Fellow in General Medicine at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, based at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton. The position will run from 6th August 2025 to 4th August 2026. This combined clinical and teaching post is ideal for individuals who have completed an F2 year (or equivalent) and wish to gain formal experience in undergraduate teaching and clinical medicine before beginning Core Training. The role is split equally between clinical duties and teaching Bristol medical students. The post holder will be encouraged to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, funded by the Academy. There is a strong emphasis on providing high-quality tuition to students from Bristol University Medical School nd offering the best possible educational supervision to trainees. The Clinical Teaching Fellow team consists of 11 posts across various specialties, including ENT, Medicine, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Critical Care, Paediatrics, O&G and General Surgery and a 100% education post. This provides an excellent opportunity for cross-specialty collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
