About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, responsible at tender stage for the range of activities involved in the project planning life cycle, which include:
1. Identifying planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements including major quantities and factors affecting the programme
2. Building the programme from first principles, ensuring that programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance.
3. Establishing and agreeing with Operations key methods of construction, sequencing, installation, and commissioning
4. Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, basis of schedule, presentations, and reports.
5. Developing overall programmes, issuing to all parties for review and implementing recommendations, innovation, and best practice as applicable
6. Reconciling company and sub-contract plant/labour and major materials elements in conjunction where appropriate
7. Cost and resource loading, plus resource levelling techniques as required
8. Ensuring all reporting requirements are accurately captured, implemented & managed including EVM reporting throughout the lifecycle of the project
Here's What You'll Need:
9. Experienced with Primavera P6
10. Candidates should be a Sole UK National with SC (Security Clearance) and/ or an ability to obtain SC.
11. Experience, across all stages of the project life cycle
12. Substantial experience of planning services in medium to large sized projects within the construction industry 1m – 20m
13. Experience in managing schedules on NEC Projects
14. Good understanding of the various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications
15. Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements
16. Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering / construction related discipline
