Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Testing: Conduct regular electrical inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
2. Fuse Board Replacements: Replace and upgrade fuse boards to enhance electrical safety and efficiency in residential units.
3. Smoke Detector Upgrades: Install and upgrade smoke detectors to meet current safety standards and provide reliable fire detection systems.
4. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on electrical systems within social housing properties.
5. Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs conducted.
7. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their electrical concerns and ensuring minimal disruption during work.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Proven experience as an electrical contractor, preferably in a social housing or residential setting.
2. Certification: Valid electrical certification and qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2391, AM2 and 18th Edition required).
3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety regulations, and testing procedures.
4. Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
5. Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
6. Driving License: Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various housing sites.
