A truly exciting and high-growth business operating in a unique space is seeking a European Group Financial Controller, who will be responsible for the financial reporting and group consolidation of a number of European entities for submission into group.

The business has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years, with clear expected growth to continue with the wins of major new contracts across the globe. As a US-owned business, this role will see you reporting to FRS102, Sarbanes-Oxley and local GAAPs for the countries that you control.
As the European Group Financial Controller, you will be primarily responsible for:
* Direct line management of a team of five - you can have this from day one, or gradually inherit them if you are not an experienced line manager
* Production of financial accounting reports for entities across a number of European countries
* Reviewing financial information produced by local finance teams in these countries, and conversion from local GAAP
* Reporting Europe's monthly information into the group consolidation tool and feeding back to the US parent
* Managing the intercompany transactions and internal recharges for non-/operating companies
* Spearheading the improvement of internal controls across the UK finance team, local European reporting teams and operations utilising the finance ERP
* Acting as the de facto internal audit lead, and being one of the key liaisons with external auditors
* Supporting the production of annual statutory accounts in conjunction with the UK Finance Director
* Working on projects in line with ongoing ERP system upgrades
* Supporting the business' expansion plans with new contract wins, identifying areas of concern and assisting in business cases, where relevant
The ideal candidate for this position will be:
* Either ACA, CA, ACCA or ACMA qualified
* Ideally with a background in practice, but this is not essential
* Experienced in financial reporting and internal controls
* Experienced working in a multicurrency environment
* Experienced working in a multinational group ideally, but this is not essential
* Dynamic, able to adapt and change to a fast-paced group that is ever-changing
