The UK Student Recruitment Team, based in the University’s External Relations Division, is tasked with attracting and enthusing high-calibre applicants to Lancaster University from across the UK. We are recruiting a Regional Student Recruitment Coordinator, to support our face-to-face engagement initiatives with schools and colleges in order to increase the number of high-quality applications from target schools in the Midlands and the South of England. This role will be based at our Lancaster campus, working within an established team of remotely located UK Student Recruitment Officers based in the Midlands and the South of England and the UK Regional Recruitment Manager. This role will support with a range of virtual and face-to-face activities for prospective students, parents/carers and teachers/advisors, as well as supporting a number of impactful recruitment and conversion initiatives for example, regional teacher and advisor events, supporting ambassadors visiting their former school and links with independent schools. This is the perfect position for a highly organised, self-motivated and dynamic individual who is skilled at presenting and engaging with prospective students. It is an excellent opportunity to develop a strong engagement skillset in a supportive and friendly team within the diverse University community. Please note, this role will require, throughout certain times of the year, extensive periods of travel around the UK visiting schools and colleges and attending events, outside office hours and working occasional weekends. This role will predominantly focus on working regionally in the Midlands and the South of England, however the successful candidate will be based primarily at our Lancaster campus. Therefore, you must be willing to travel frequently on long journeys and the ability to drive would be preferable. This post is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months. This role requires an enhanced DBS/enhanced DBS with barred list check. Please note we will therefore be asking you to complete an enhanced DBS with barred list as part of the recruitment process for this role.
