Create designs of floors and roofs including Metsä Wood products and give technical advice to the Metsä Wood distributor network and construction related professionals complying with the legislation in the UK. What do you get to do? Design Create floor designs using the Metsä Wood design software for both masonry and timber frame construction to the performance and standards set by the customer. Work to time schedule set by the design team leader. Creating roof designs using Metsä Wood software in conjunction with the Building System Engineers Create construction details to the guidance of the Engineering team and/or the Design Team Leader Technical Support Advise Metsä Wood customers on best use of Metsä Wood Systems and Products Handle telephone enquiries from Metsä Wood distributors, customers, architects and specifiers Test Metsä Wood software in conjunction with the software development team. Technical Advice Provide technical information about Metsä Wood products and services to builders, architects and specifiers What are we looking for? At least 5 good GCSE passes or equivalent, including Maths & English A-levels of a technical nature (or similar education) preferred A good understanding of mathematics and general construction A good level of numeracy and accuracy Experience of handling customer enquiries of a technical nature Experience with a Computer Aided Design software package preferred.
