Job summary The Senior Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in managing, supervising, and developing pharmacy and medicines management staff in primary care and community services in East IHC. The role involves leading projects to improve pharmacy services, ensuring alignment with professional and corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities: Management & Leadership: Supervise pharmacy teams, lead service improvement projects, and assist in workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development. Governance & Compliance: Develop, implement, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct risk assessments, and manage complaints/incidents. Service Delivery: Oversee pharmacy and medicines management services, ensure compliance with professional standards, and support senior managers in service execution. Training & Development: Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for pharmacy staff. Financial & Information Management: Ensure procurement and maintenance of equipment, manage information systems, and support data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with the Senior Management Team in primary care to develop and implement workstreams that improve service delivery. Work closely with the wider pharmacy team to enhance teamwork and drive service development.
