Summary
Job Title: Head of Marketing
Reports to: Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Heads of Service
Direct Reports: Senior Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Executive.
Key Relationships: Internal: Chief Executive Officer, Chief of Staff; Heads of Service, including Operations, Education, Fitness, Physiotherapy, Massage; and Studio Managers
Base Location: Ten’s City Studio, with flexibility to attend all studios
Flexibility: 80% Office based / 20% Home or Remote Working
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, some flexibility for client/brand events on weekends (subject to discussion and agreement).
Salary: Dependent on experience - from £65K
Purpose: To lead a collaborative marketing team
You are responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve business growth, leading and managing the marketing team, overseeing various campaigns, and analysing the performance of marketing activities using data. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure marketing efforts align with, and support the achievement of, Ten’s business objectives.

We have refreshed our brand and strategic focus to leverage our integrated approach to healthcare; the Head of Marketing will be integral to the next phase of Ten’s journey.
You will be hands-on and able to navigate between big picture and detail, uniting all areas of our business and sub-brands through a common brand language. You will be responsible for amplifying the brand, driving brand awareness, knowing our customer and services deeply to enable you to drive acquisition, retention, and support business growth.
You will have a proven track record in premium consumer marketing, and the capability to lend creative, analytical, and commercial leadership skills to drive the Brand.
You will manage a team of two in-house marketing colleagues, taking accountability for their professional growth and skills development; involving them in planning, implementation, and lessons learned. You’ll also work with freelance creatives and external partners/agencies.
Your focus and accountabilities

* Strategic Marketing Planning & Management – Implement a single-minded marketing strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
* Brand Champion – Develop and maintain a consistent, engaging brand image that resonates with our target audience.
* Customer Acquisition & Retention – Create and execute customer acquisition strategies to drive new sign-ups and memberships.
* Digital Marketing Leadership – Lead digital marketing initiatives including social media and SEO.
* Content Creation & Campaign Management – Oversee the creation of engaging content that resonates with health-conscious individuals.
* Partnership & Influencer Management – Develop and manage strategic partnerships to drive brand exposure.
* Customer Insights & Research – Conduct market research to understand consumer behaviour and industry trends.
* Team Leadership & Development – Lead, inspire, and manage the marketing team.
* Local Marketing & Community – Develop plans to support studios locally and drive community engagement.
* Tech Integration – Leverage tech to simplify processes and campaigns.
* Budget Management & Resource Allocation – Manage the marketing budget efficiently.
* Performance Analytics & Reporting – Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Sales – Input into the sales strategy and internal sales process.
* Retail – Define retail/ancillary spend strategy and implement across the estate.
* TenEducation & tenreformer – Support with marketing plans for these two Ten brands.
Your skills, knowledge and experience
You’ll need to demonstrate and apply the following essential skills, experience and knowledge to be successful in this role.

* Proven experience in premium consumer marketing.
* Has held a senior role in a multi-site and multi-disciplinary team.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Strong evidence-based practice in revenue growth through campaigns.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Proactive communications skills, particularly in relation to people and performance.
* Confident and comfortable learning and using electronic systems and tools.
Essential knowledge
* Bachelor's degree or NVQ Level 6 in Marketing Management or equivalent experience.
* An awareness of Dynamic Reformer Pilates, Personal Training, Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, and Clinical Exercise.
* Excellent understanding of client needs.
* An awareness of management practices and consumer regulations.
* An awareness of current good practice in managing a blended workforce.
Desirable experience and knowledge
* Operational and/or Marketing experience in Dynamic Reformer Pilates or Yoga.
* Master’s degree or NVQ Level 7 in Strategic Marketing Management or equivalent experience.
