We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Salisbury from April 2025.
About the School
This specialist school educates children and young people aged 4 to 19 with multiple learning difficulties and complex needs. They believe that meaningful learning happens through genuine engagement, fostering both academic and social development.

The school operates from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Your Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide individualised support tailored to students' unique needs and learning styles.
* Foster emotional and social well-being, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Work alongside teachers to promote inclusivity, track progress, and boost self-esteem.
* Encourage engagement in learning through creative and adaptive methods.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns.
* Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists to enhance student development.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should:
* Have experience supporting children or adults with special needs.
* Be comfortable assisting with personal care when required.
* Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent).
* Be adaptable and able to support a variety of learning styles.
* Be patient, caring, and empathetic.
* Have excellent communication and listening skills.
* Remain calm under pressure, ensuring students feel safe and supported.
Requirements
* An enhanced DBS check (as you will be working with children).
