Duties: We are looking for someone who has the drive to want to succeed and sees this opportunity to join a forward-thinking insurance brokerage to further their insurance career. You must be keen to service clients, develop long-term relationships and have the confidence to assess their requirements, discussing all types of insurance covers and make recommendations where necessary. You will act as an Account Handler and Executive for Professional Indemnity business with premiums mainly ranging from £500 to £10,000. You should be comfortable discussing other covers such as cyber, D&O and general commercial insurances as required with your clients and then be able to work closely with a specific commercial division to source the best outcome for your client. You will have opportunities to work closely with Client Directors on cases up to £250k where you will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships, evaluate the risk exposure in the same way you do for your own clients and make recommendations where necessary, as well as collaborating with insurers to negotiate best terms and conditions. You should be comfortable in comparing coverage, terms, conditions, and premiums to ensure clients receive the best value for their insurance needs, whilst ensuring you adhere to the company’s placement strategy. You will be supported in your role of generating new business and retaining existing clients whilst working closely with other departments and individuals within the business including, where necessary, our Marketing Manager. The ability to attend seminars and networking events to obtain new clients and raise brand awareness is a must. Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Polices and Guides to Best Practice. Ability to check all policies and documentation are accurate and meet the clients needs, as well as preparing accurate and detailed documents including new business and renewal reports and client letters. Ideal candidate: Knowledgeable and experienced Account Handler specialising in Professional Indemnity, as well as having exposure to other Financial Lines products. 2 Years PI/Financial Lines experience, preferably with a Broking background. Ability to communicate effectively with wide range of people, both internally and externally. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate and timely data entry, documentation, and records on Acturis. Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times. Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and provide expert product advice and guidance. Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices to ensure the business operates ethically and in adherence to legal obligations. Proficiency in sales techniques and negotiation strategies. Strong analytical skills to assess client risks and identify potential gaps in coverage. Acturis experience preferable.
