Trainee Research Assistant\n\n£26,000 go up to £28,000 after probation\n\nWe are seeking curious, organised, and enthusiastic graduate-level candidates to embark on an exciting career journey! This full-time, permanent position includes a comprehensive 6-month training program designed to set you up for long-term success with career progression.\n\nAbout the Research Role:\n\nYour training will begin at the company's Shoreditch office, with an initial requirement of being in the office five days a week. After completing the training period, this will shift to four days a week.\n\nYou'll be joining an international organisation specialising in tracing missing and unknown beneficiaries of unclaimed estates, property, and assets worldwide.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nWhile we don't require previous experience for this trainee program, successful candidates will demonstrate the following:\n\nOutstanding communication skills - both written and verbal\nKeen attention to detail\nStrong problem-solving abilities\nThe ability to work well under pressure and manage tasks independently\nA professional, empathetic approach when dealing with sensitive situations\nA determination to see cases through to completion\nWhile not essential, a degree in a research-intensive field (e.g., History, Anthropology, or Humanities) is a plus.What We Offer:\n\nA starting salary of £26,000 per annum during the training period\nA salary increase to £28,000 per annum upon graduation to a Researcher role\nA clear career development roadmap with opportunities for progression and salary growthKey Responsibilities:\n\nConduct research in-house and through external resources, including visits to historical archives\nProvide administrative support, including scanning, photocopying, and filing\nAssist Case Managers with written correspondence and the preparation of reports\nHandle the ordering and distribution of legal documents and certificates\nPlot and process family tree requests\nSupport Case Managers with more complex cases\nPerform any additional administrative duties relevant to the role as required \n\nIf you are looking for a career in Research, please do apply directly to the advert!\n\nPlease be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled.
