We are advertising this Fleet Coordinator role on behalf of our client, a leading provider of door-to-door transportation services for bulk-liquid chemicals and food-grade products. The successful candidate will work within a state-of-the-art tank cleaning and repair facility. You will need to work both as part of a team and on your own.
In your role as Global Fleet Coordinator, you are responsible for maintaining, developing, and optimizing the day-to-day performance of equipment in coordination with meeting clients' requirements and positioning the organization to be their long-term preferred Liquid Food Grade partner of choice. You will achieve this through a combination of world-class key account management and service by managing day-to-day tank allocation.
Role Requirements
We’re looking for someone who can effectively demonstrate continuous improvement on Key Accounts. As the market for food grade products is growing, we need to understand what it is that customers need to build and extend these long-term relationships. You will have a strong influence on how the business can produce the best commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reports regional inventory levels and trends to Fleet Managers on a regular basis.
2. Work closely with the regional commercial group to align tank and customer requirements.
3. Determine from which location/depot each approved booking should be served.
4. Execute tank allocation in close collaboration with Operations teams and agents.
5. Monitor and discuss vendor performance (depot) and address issues.
6. Ensure Tank Statuses are updated correctly in the STC operational system.
7. Assist Fleet Managers with projects as they arise.
8. Analyze improvements related to tank allocation and vendor performance (depots).
9. Assist Fleet Managers to monitor and manage inventory levels in depots.
10. Optimize combinations of laden and empty moves to minimize costs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in containerized logistics or supply chain management, strong logistical knowledge.
2. Sound knowledge of Tank Container Specifications and various technical requirements.
3. Good analytical skills and an eye for detail.
4. Good computer skills in MS Windows applications.
5. Strong hands-on mentality and able to work under high demanding conditions.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Fluent written and spoken English is required.
