An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Business Support Service to work to support the Youth Justice Service.
This post is for a Senior Business Support Officer (Grade G) to work 37 hours on an established basis.
The office base is Civic Centre, St Luke’s Avenue, Harrogate.
The team works in a hybrid way and the postholder must be available to attend the office/meetings in person when this is needed.
The Role
We require a motivated administrator with excellent communication and customer care skills suitable for dealing with a specific group of service users and a wide range of professionals, both from North Yorkshire Council and other organisations. You will undertake a wide range of administrative duties including minuting of Youth Outcome Panels (YOPs), Information Sharing Meetings (ISMs) & other meetings as required. You will have oversight of the day-to-day work of the Business Support Officers ensuring any additional work requests are covered appropriately and will also be responsible for auditing data added to the ChildView database on a monthly basis.
This role will include the organisation of multi-agency meetings and producing high quality minutes in a timely manner, including taking minutes in a ‘live’ format.
You will be expected to travel, when required, to other locations to support meetings.
You will work closely with the Grade E team members, monitoring areas of the work undertaken, as well as managing your own workload and liaising with BS team members supporting YJS in the East.
You will assist the Business Support Team Leader with implementing new areas of work within the team, leading with induction and all aspects of training for new Business Support staff. Also attend meetings/events and resolve issues from internal and external customers, working closely with the Service Manager and operational colleagues regarding requests for data.
The successful applicant
* Must have good ICT and literacy skills.
* You must be able to prioritise your own workload, ensure deadlines are achieved, be conscientious, well-organised, have the ability to work unsupervised and be flexible in your approach, and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as effectively working as part of a team.
* You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment.
* Knowledge of ChildView/LCS/EHM is highly desirable.
