Are you passionate about empowering young women to build brighter futures? We’re recruiting a female Housing Support Worker to join a dynamic service supporting young parents aged 16–21 in Plymouth.
THE ROLE
You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to young women in supported housing, helping them develop independence, manage their tenancies, and achieve personal goals.
Provide person-centred, strengths-based support to young mothers in their accommodation
Develop and review tailored support and safety plans
Support with parenting, education, training, and employment goals
Advise on housing, welfare benefits, debt, and budgeting
Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusion
Build strong links with local agencies and make appropriate referrals
Maintain accurate records using housing management systems
THE CANDIDATE
You must have experience in a similar support or housing role and a clear understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable young women and parents.
Previous experience supporting people with complex needs (e.g. mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse)
Knowledge of the welfare benefits system and tenancy-related issues
Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to manage risk
Experience creating and implementing individual support plans
Confident working independently and as part of a multi-agency team

THE CONTRACT
Ad Hoc Shifts (Days / Nights)
3 Month Contract
The pay for the role is £15.74 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £13.42 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
