The role of Practice Educator provides a significant contribution to the support and development of pre-registration students and post-registration education and training. Its purpose is to underline the link between clinical education and practice and to assist all staff in bridging any gaps - either in terms of application, understanding or research. The post holder will operate from an evidence based perspective and will work with managers in coaching and supporting staff as they develop their practice. The Key Deliverables Are To facilitate and maintain an effective learning environment within the clinical setting. To contribute to the organisation and delivery of practice-related training and teaching for staff and apprentices within a clinical setting. To ensure all qualified staff are given equal access to training opportunities and any associated available funding. To ensure the department Mandatory Training compliance rate meets the Trust targets. We are therefore looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic radiographer to drive the education and development of the staff, developing strategies to enhance staff recruitment, staff engagement and career development. Work with the Radiology Management team to ensure that the training, education and continuous professional development needs of the Radiography workforce are met to ensure safe and effective patient care and practice Support and monitor delivery and quality of clinical supervision, annual appraisals and personal development plans. Ensuring all staff have clinical supervision and appraisals This post will ensure all post graduate radiographers have access and understanding of Radiography development and practises both here at ULH NHS Trust and in the wider Radiology community The post-holder will be required to maintain clinical competency at Band 7 level and take on the full responsibilities of that role when required The post holder will work with and report to the Radiology Operational Manager and the Clinical Superintendents to ensure all staff have the same level of education and development Our Trust is situated in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire and is one of the biggest acute hospital trusts in England, serving a population of more than 700,000 people.
