The Role: A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for an Event Operations Manager, for a fixed term of 5 months, to support the Competitions Team with the event operations process for the series of England Athletics indoor events from October 2024 to March 2025. The role will focus on supporting the Competition and Partnerships Manager with helping to produce and deliver site plans for each event including risk assessments, event scheduling and liaising with venues regarding security, security briefings and evacuation plans. The role will also include brand planning and liaising with key stakeholders, while also working with external partners and suppliers to ensure events run smoothly and that the events that are delivered reflects and reinforces the core values of England Athletics. The individual should already have knowledge of athletics and the layout of athletics events, through previous work experience in major sport events in an operational capacity. This should include knowledge of creating risk assessments and Event Management Plans. As well as having knowledge of how to manage the Athlete and Spectator experience within a stadium setting.
