We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative/Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others.
You'll be working full time 40 hours a week at Cygnet Pindar House, helping provide a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.
Cygnet Pindar House is our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. The service accepts unplanned, often urgent admissions where a service user requires a safe place to start treatment at the earliest possible time as well as planned admissions.

Your day-to-day...
1. Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service
2. Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
3. Maintain plant, services & vehicles in working order
4. Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment & potential hazards
5. Travel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours
6. Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights

You are...
12. Experienced in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments
13. Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence
14. Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
15. Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
16. Preferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance
17. Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
