Description | Salary £23,152-£23,893 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Technical Support | International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship Lancashire Highways Service is responsible for the direct delivery of all highways related schemes across the County made up of 4300 miles of road, 151,000 streetlights and 2955 bridges. We have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Support Officer Grade 4 within the Countywide Services Support Team. You will provide operational highways support and administrative functions including: Input of data into IT systems for: job costings, time recording for payroll purposes and emergency call out details. Main point of contact for emergency calls – including allocation to operatives and updating systems. Creation of Utilities service plans. Liaising with members of the public, customers and other LCC colleagues either face to face on reception or via telephone in a prompt and courteous manner to provide an efficient support service. Highway support duties such as maintaining spreadsheets, generating reports. Undertaking other duties as reasonably requested by the Highways Support Manager. The Technical Support Officer will require excellent time management, data processing and customer service skills. The ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team is key to this role. This position is full time working 37 hours per week. The role includes working at home and working in the office on a rota basis. The team's office base is Bamber Bridge, but you may occasionally be required to travel to other depots within Lancashire.
