Job Summary

We are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant on either a full-time or part-time basis (applicants should advise their availability). The candidate should have a proven track record to support children who have some social and emotional behavioural needs, speech and language difficulties and some social communication needs across the school. This role is offered on a full time or part time basis - to be discussed at interview.
The role will require you to work closely with the SENDCo and class teachers, supporting pupils in either 1:1 situations or small groups both in and outside the classroom. Experience in supporting children with regulation difficulties would be an advantage.
You will need to be kind, patient and experienced at creating positive relationships. The ability to be flexible and enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to engage learners is also desirable.
The successful applicants will have an NVQ Level 3 in the field of Teaching and Learning, or equivalent and will be able to demonstrate a suitable level of English and maths skills, equivalent to GCSE standard, which will be assessed at interview.
