Wallpaper’s Commercial Advertising Sales Team is looking for an Advertising Director to lead its advertising sales within one of the most iconic and influential design and lifestyle brands in the world. What you'll be doing As the Advertising Director for Wallpaper, you will shape and implement creative, branded content strategies that resonate with the brand’s discerning audience and premium client base. With an understanding of Wallpaper’s heritage and its global reputation for excellence in design, architecture, art, and lifestyle, you will ensure all commercial projects align with the brand’s ethos. An important member of the leadership team, you will collaborate with the Commercial Director, Managing Director, and other leaders. Building relationships with editorial, ad ops, and tech teams, you will be a bridge between the brand’s creative vision and its commercial goals. Your role will inspire and lead a high-performing team to develop innovative, tailored solutions for clients, promoting creative excellence across: Branded content Digital advertising Social media and influencer marketing Events, and experiential activations Video and audio storytelling Specifically, you will be responsible for: Develop a comprehensive sales strategy to lead Wallpaper's advertising revenues growth across digital, print and branded content solutions Set clear performance expectations for the sales team, ensuring accountability for achieving both individual and team targets. Manage the team’s performance to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. Focus on long-term revenue generation by securing annual contracts and selling key strategic campaigns, closely monitoring the pipeline Prioritise the retention and growth of strategic client relationships, working to build new partnerships to drive revenue. Engage with senior-level clients and agencies, developing deep relationships that ensure ongoing success and new business development. Work on pricing and rate card strategies for new products, ensuring they align with market trends and client needs. Identify new non-endemic business opportunities to diversify revenue streams and expand the brand’s reach. Experience that puts you ahead of the curve Experience in the luxury advertising market with of the unique demands and expectations of premium clients and audiences. Experience a senior commercial role, with experience driving and growing strategic, long-term revenue and profitability. Expertise across a broad range of sales functions, including branded content, events, partnerships, video, audio, social, influencers, and digital advertising. Experience building, scaling, and managing teams within a matrix organisation. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and connect persuasively with diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders and key clients.
