About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator or an ambitious teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will play a crucial role in providing tailored learning experiences that support the academic, social, and emotional development of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of SEN students.
2. Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
3. Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
4. Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learning styles and needs.
5. Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
6. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages confidence and independence.
7. Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
About You
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience working with children with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
3. Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies, interventions, and the SEND Code of Practice.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
