Are you an experienced Administrator looking for an opportunity to support an essential public service?
Our client is looking for a talented Administrator to join their team on a contract starting immediately until 28th February 2025. The successful applicant will be dealing with confidential and sensitive information to ensure paperwork is being dealt with accurately and in accordance with the law.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor and evaluate forms in connection with emergency detentions, short term detentions, and compulsory treatment orders, to ensure that these are complete and accurate and in accordance with the relevant legislation and that individuals are in receipt of appropriate care and treatment.
2. Follow up missing or incorrect information and, when necessary, question information provided, with a view to preventing unlawful detentions.
3. Responsible for the accurate processing of individual personal details and information into the electronic database and for ensuring that the information is kept up to date, to facilitate easy data retrieval and assist the Commission.
4. The post holder is required to prioritise work regularly to ensure that the most important tasks, i.e. those that are related to an individual's detention, take precedence.
Key Applicant Requirements
1. Administrative experience is essential, especially in relation to database/data entry work.
2. Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office packages such as MS Outlook, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
3. Effective organisational skills and ability to work to agreed performance levels.
4. Knowledge of GDPR and the governance around handling of sensitive person-specific data.
5. Excellent time management skills.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills.
This role will be based in the Haymarket area of Edinburgh and offers hybrid working.
This role offers a salary of up to £26,000 and applicants should be free to attend an interview w/c 4th November.
