Job description
My client, who works within the social housing sector is recruiting a Building Surveyor to join their team on a contractual basis. Experiencing huge levels of growth, the surveyor will be tasked to manage occupied social housing stock within the Nottinghamshire area.
Your new role
Your role will see you take responsibility for ensuring that residential properties are surveyed accordingly, focusing in either investment projects, structural projects, or disrepair.
* Carry out inspections to ensure compliance with key social housing legislation and contract specifications.
* Undertake surveys to identify and investigate the cause of a variety of issues, including structural damage, disrepair, and damage.
* Support in the delivery of major works and investment programmes.
* Produce detailed schedules of works, including all documentation required to source and procure materials.
* Plan, manage and support with the coordination of health and safety on specific projects.
* Identify and resolve complex issues.
THE CANDIDATE:
Previous knowledge within social housing and disrepair works is essential, you will have the ability to manage your won work load and ensure all findings etc are logged correctly in order for works to be carried out, this is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to be extended, you will need access to a vehicle and the job offers no work from home options
