Are you an experienced Registered Manager in Gloucester?
We are currently looking for experienced, dynamic leaders to join my well-established client’s team as a Registered Manager in one of their 7 good-outstanding OFSTED rated homes, all based in Gloucester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to lead a dedicated, experienced team of childcare professionals and ensure a positive day-to-day environment for young people in need.
Role Overview:
The Registered Manager role is to be responsible for the overall management and running the service, ensuring that the team are providing quality support and life experiences to the young people that use the service based upon the six basic values of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment.
Responsibility to ensure the Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Support Workers understand and appropriately respond to everyone’s needs, ensuring that there are always appropriately skilled levels of staffing and that daily, weekly, and monthly auditing evidence quality and compliance with internal and external requirements and regulations.
About you:
* Registered Managers are expected Understanding of CQC and/or OFSTED regulations. Alongside knowledge of relevant legislation: Health and Social Care Act 2008, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 2007, Children's Act 2004.
* Awareness of safeguarding policies and related frameworks: SCCIF.
* Level 5 Diploma in Young People (OFSTED) or Level 5 Health and Social Care (OFSTED)
* 2 years of experience in a children’s home setting alongside management experience within a care setting.
* Experience working with individuals with complex needs.
* Proven ability in auditing and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Experience in staff management (recruitment, appraisals, disciplinary processes).
* Experience in staff disciplinary procedures and staff recruitment procedures
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Ability to lead and motivate teams and a positive and proactive attitude to work, tact and diplomacy, non-judgmental and non-discriminatory practice
* Ensure staff training and competency compliance.
* Strong communication skills for maintaining relationships with individuals or young people, families, and external professionals and confident ability to represent the service and liaise with OFSTED and or CQC.
