Hardware Engineer, Associate in Newtown, Pennsylvania
We are looking for an Associate Hardware Engineer to join our team in Newtown, PA!
This is an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of electronic hardware circuit design. As an Associate Hardware Engineer, you will be a hardware development contributor on a wide variety of Data Acquisition and Network architecture designs all with critical value in flight test analysis. LOCATION: Newtown, PA
YOUR CHALLENGE:
1. Work in conjunction with senior engineering staff in both PWB board-level (mixed signal) and possible FPGA and microcontroller design activities.
2. Analyze existing designs to support ongoing hardware developments.
3. Develop and collaborate on design elements with more senior staff to meet customer requirements on schedule and within budget.
4. Collaborate with Test engineering to develop support hardware and software for the internal testing of various products for Design verification and qualification.
5. Collect document and analyze data sets to facilitate the successful bring up of new hardware within the engineering department.
6. Work with Operations assembly & test personnel in supporting issues on the production floor and RMA activities.
7. Assist in the generation of end user product documentation.
8. Provide sustaining engineering support for customer fielded products.
9. Generate concise design documentation and analysis reports relating to the field of Flight test telemetry and general electrical engineering and data processing concepts.
10. Undertake any other activities in supporting end products as reasonably requested by management.
WHAT YOU BRING:
1. BS in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering (from an accredited college or university) required.
2. Knowledge of Analog and digital circuit design concepts.
3. Knowledge of basic power supply design.
4. Working knowledge of Verilog or VHDL for FPGA development.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
6. Ability to work independently to conduct engineering research to bring to the department as a whole.
7. Due to the nature of the work candidates must be a sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
