An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Strategic Housing Programme Team as a Housing Policy Assistant.
The post holder will provide business and administrative support relating to the functions of the team and the delivery of effective services for affordable housing customers.
Applications are invited from highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals who are experienced administrators with excellent communications, customer and IT skills. You must be knowledgeable and skilled in finance, administration and have experience of dealing with complex data, maintaining databases and management software.
An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Policy Assistant to be employed for an initial 12 month period in the Strategic Housing Programme Team, with the potential for the role to be made permanent. You will support the team in the management of existing homes, delivery of new homes, together with enabling and allocating affordable housing for sale to first time buyers.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the team, as well as operating management information systems for the collation and monitoring of statistical analysis reports. You will also be responsible for the assessing of affordable housing applications, as well as responding to customer enquiries to aid the effective delivery of affordable housing across the borough.
You will possess sound analytical skills, have experience of monitoring statistics and interpreting data, and have a good understanding of housing need. Applicants should also be fully computer literate with a working knowledge of appropriate computer applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite.

The successful candidate will be required to work from an office in Ellesmere Port for 1 day per week on a Thursday. All other working days are remote home based.
