At Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (GHC), we provide joined-up mental health, physical health and learning disability services to people of all ages across Gloucestershire.
The Gloucestershire children’s therapy services are seeking administrators to join our team supporting Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy. Part time hours available for three days per week.
The services are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and supportive workers. The successful candidates will be a part of a busy and friendly team supporting therapy services and children and young people’s access to these.
Main duties of the job
* To provide effective administrative support to the Children’s Therapy Teams.
* To develop a thorough understanding of the service and processes used including referral and treatment pathways and links with other children's services.
* Efficiently use System 1 and other databases to record and track the patient’s treatment pathway including clinic appointments and outcomes.
* Efficiently use appropriate systems to collect, collate and report data and information in an accurate format (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Respond to all colleagues in a positive, professional and helpful manner.
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and members of the public, ensuring at all times that a professional approach is presented.
* Use own initiative in prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met.
* Adopt a flexible and supportive role within the administration team by assisting with workload in the absence of colleagues.
* Carry out general administrative tasks for the department to agreed standards and timescales.
Person specification
Qualifications
* GCSE level grade C education or equivalent
* NVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent experience
Experience
* Proven experience of unsupervised administrative work in a busy office environment
* Previous experience of using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
* Experience of using customer/patient information system
