An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a term-time LES Driver 2 to join our Transport Services team on a permanent basis.

Our LES Driver 2’s are responsible for the safe transportation of passengers and goods to and from both Education and Social Services establishments.
It is therefore essential that applicants have knowledge of traffic regulations and of the City of Glasgow areas and street names, along with good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Previous experience of transporting passengers is desirable.

A full current D1 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence is an essential requirement of this role. As part of the pre-employment check process, successful candidates will also have to satisfactorily complete a driver’s assessment.
Weekly Hours: 25 hours per week during term time (40/52 weeks)
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a full-time equivalent working context & demand (WCD) payment of £714 per annum.
Please note that the salary figures above are based on a full-time equivalent of 35-hours per week, 52 weeks per year and if successful you will receive a pro-rata payment based on 25-hours per week and 40 weeks per year.
Key Pre-Employment Information
The position requires membership to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme (Vulnerable Adults & Children). The cost of membership, or scheme record update, will be met by the successful candidate(s).
As part of the pre-employment checks for this post the successful candidate(s) will require to undergo a pre-employment medical and GP clearance.
