Job Description
We are currently looking for a Metabolite Identification and in vitro ADME Specialist to join a leading drug development company based in the Kent area. As the Metabolite Identification Specialist you will be responsible for leading the delivery of metabolite characterisation studies in support of human or animal health drug discovery.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Metabolite Identification Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will be responsible for designing and performing metabolite characterization studies, including HPLC Radiochemical detection, UV and Mass spectrometry.
2. You will apply your in-depth knowledge of metabolite characterisation strategies across drug discovery and development to also train others to perform metabolite characterisation studies.
3. You will undertake multiple, potentially complex studies in parallel, design and deliver bespoke in vitro experiments, and troubleshoot analytical issues.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Metabolite Identification Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a relevant scientific degree.
3. A strong working knowledge and practical experience in a metabolite characterisation role is essential.
