This role is offered on a Variable Hours contract for services, giving you the flexibility to choose whether to accept work offered to you. We’ll provide an approximate number of hours you may asked to work, however there is no obligation for work to be offered, and there’s no obligation for you to accept the work offered.
The opportunity
As our Esports Teacher, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge lessons to learners on our exciting Esports programmes. You’ll create an engaging and supportive environment, enabling our students to develop essential skills such as teamwork, strategy, content creation, event management, and business planning within the Esports sector. Your ability to bring the subject to life and connect with students who share your passion will make a real difference to their success.
You’ll deliver inspiring and dynamic lessons, diving into exciting topics like strategy, gameplay, team organisation, event management, and business planning. By creating and adapting engaging teaching materials, you’ll ensure lessons are tailored to meet curriculum standards while sparking curiosity and catering to the unique needs of our students.
Building a supportive and inclusive learning environment will be at the heart of your role, empowering every student to reach their full potential. You’ll bring the world of Esports to life by organising and overseeing tournaments and events, giving students hands-on, practical experience and the opportunity to develop their skills in real-world scenarios. Through regular assessments, you’ll provide meaningful feedback to help students reflect, grow, and achieve their goals with confidence.
Collaboration will be key, as you’ll work closely with the wider team to continually raise the standard of teaching, learning, and assessment across the programme. Staying ahead of the curve, you’ll keep up with the latest trends and advancements in the Esports industry, incorporating them into your lessons to ensure your teaching remains fresh, relevant, and inspiring.
Above all, you’ll serve as a role model and mentor, motivating students to develop professional attitudes, behaviours, and a passion for success as they prepare for exciting futures in this fast-growing industry.
As an educator, you’re engaging and innovative, capable of bringing Esports to life in the classroom. You excel at creating accessible and creative teaching materials, tailoring lessons to different learning styles, and inspiring curiosity in your students. While teaching experience is an advantage, your willingness to develop your skills and embrace new ideas is what truly sets you apart.
Your event management skills shine when it comes to planning and running Esports tournaments. You recognise the value of practical, hands-on experiences and ensure these events run smoothly, providing students with opportunities to build and showcase their skills.
You’re passionate about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and empowered to achieve their best. With a focus on encouragement and growth, you help students thrive both personally and professionally.

Below is a list of some of the key skills, qualifications and experience we are seeking for this exciting opportunity.
Required
• Degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Esports or a related field. PGCE, CertEd, DTTLS, or willingness to achieve within a set timeframe.
• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of industry experience in Esports or a related field.
• Experience teaching students aged 16+ in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of Esports topics, including events, coaching, planning, health and wellbeing, strategies, and psychology.
• Experience working with partners to develop and deliver curriculum projects.
