Carer/Support Worker/PA - Churchtown/Southport
About the role
To provide 1:1 support to a fun, friendly and sociable 13-year-old boy who has muscular dystrophy.
I love to joke around and have big chats. I enjoy going to the cinema and having a McDonalds. I also like playing wheelchair football, gaming, music, cooking, and discussing my pets.
I require the use of my powerchair which I have fantastic control over and can zoom around in it quite easily. I am looking for a friendly, reliable, and caring person who I can have lots of fun with.
You must be friendly, empathetic, and enthusiastic about caring for others. Ideally, you should have experience of supporting young people with additional needs, a driving licence, and some experience assisting a wheelchair user into and out of a wheelchair adapted vehicle.
Willingness to build up and develop positive relationships is essential. Be patient, kind, and trustworthy. Have good communication skills and the ability to be punctual and reliable. You should also have the ability to be creative and use your own initiative.
Hourly Rate: £12.50 Per Hour.
Hours: 6 hours per week.
